Tradition continues on Saturday, August 18, 2012 with the second annual “Music in the Mountain Concert”. Choose from two great shows or enjoy both at a discounted price.   Using the stage created by John Lair in the 1960’s, the shows will be performed in Echo Auditorium within Great Saltpetre Cave. Woody Pines at 1:00-3:00 PM

This charismatic Asheville, N.C. band has something for all ages playing a variety of bluegrass, ragtime, country blues, and old-time mountain music.  www.woodypines.com.

Rockcastle County’s Finest at 6:00-8:00 PM
A variety of local artists including The Southern Strings with Buddy Mullins, Level Green, and the Johnson Sisters.

The Preserve will be open from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM.  Spend the day and enjoy the food, refreshments, and the beautiful grounds.

No reserved seating. Handicap assistance available.
Please arrive at least 1 hour early for parking and seating.
Remember to bring a jacket; the cave temperature is always a cool 58 degrees.

Great Saltpetre Cave is 9 miles off Interstate 75 at exit 59 on St Rt. 1004 at mile marker 9. Follow the signs.  GPS coordinates are: N 37 deg 21.993 min, W 84 deg 12.391 min
